How to enable Automatic Vehicle Hold

Use AVH to keep the Atto 3 Evo stationary in traffic without holding the brake pedal.

QUICK ANSWER

What to do

With the vehicle powered on, press the AVH switch. Keep the driver's seat belt fastened and the doors closed, then press the brake until the vehicle is fully stationary.

STEP BY STEP

Follow these steps

  1. 1

Power the vehicle on and press the AVH switch to place the system in standby.

  2. 2

Fasten the driver's seat belt and make sure the doors are closed.

  3. 3

Select Drive and press the brake until the car is fully stationary.

  4. 4

Check that the AVH running indicator is solid on the instrument cluster.

  5. 5

Press the accelerator normally when you are ready to move.

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you finish

  • AVH is off by factory default.
  • Opening the driver's door or unfastening the driver's seat belt causes AVH to exit and the electronic parking brake to engage.
  • After the vehicle has remained stopped for 10 minutes, it changes to Park and AVH returns to standby.
  • AVH is suppressed while reversing or manoeuvring slowly after Reverse.
